Plot :
"Joey : Come on, You are going out with a guy.
There's gotta be something wrong with him!"
Conversation drifts to something else and ends Chandler explaining his weird dream.
Ross (Monica's elder brother) arrives central perk , upset of Carol(his lesbian wife) moving out with her stuff. Others try to calm him.
A woman suddenly enters wearing a wedding dress, whom Monica recognizes as her high school friend Rachel. Rachel explains how and why she left her fiance (Barry) at the altar.
All friends except Rachel are watching a Spanish show on TV(of course they don't understand) while Rachel speaks to her father over phone explaining why she flew during wedding and ended up her father denying her financial assistance
Rachel: Its like all of my life ,everyone always told me,
"You're a shoe! You're a shoe! You're a shoe!" Then today I stopped and said ," what if I don't wanna be a shoe? what if I wanna be a purse? you know or a hat?
No, I don't want you to buy me a hat, I am saying I am a hat . It's a metaphor daddy"
Rachel:Well,may be i don't need your money. wait!wait! I said maybe!
Bell rings, and it was revealed that Monica is going on a date with Paul, The wine guy, and he enters
In meantime, Ross asks Rachel if she could help him with fixing furniture and she says no.
Ross upsets again thinking about Carol.
Joey: Ross,Let me ask you a question.she got the furniture,the stereo ,the good TV .what did you get? Ross: You guys
Chandler : Oh My God! Joey: you got screwed"
Monica and Paul went to dinner and Paul talks about his divorce and reveals that he hadn't had sex since 2 years.They both end sleeping together at Monica's apartment.
Rachel phones Barry and apologies.
Next morning, at work, Monica finds out that Paul had lied about him not having sex for 2 years, just to make her sleep with him.
Monica tells that to their friends at Central Perk and gets teased by other guys.Rachel enters very happy and reveals that she didn't get a job and reason for her happiness is that she a bought a pair of boots on discount.when enquired how she paid for boots, she replied she paid with her father's credit card, resulting in cutting her credit card.
Monica: welcome to the Real world.It sucks you gonna love it.That night, Ross reveals that he used to have a crush on Rachel during his high school and asks maybe he could ask her out.
